Clinical staff at SCAS are constantly challenged with new experiences when dealing with patients. There is a constant need to learn new skills, gain further knowledge and to revise and ‘practise’ basic skills. Clinical staff can experience skill fade in relation to clinical skills especially those that are done infrequently or that are extremely challenging such as intubation. Airway manikins give staff the chance to benefit from more frequent practise and these will replace the old equipment now being used.
