There are many ways in which people choose to support us and whichever way you choose we are incredibly grateful. Funds donated to the Charity enable us to continue supporting our operational colleagues and to help launch innovative new projects, fund our volunteer programmes and introduce new equipment. All of this supports the excellent patient care provided by SCAS.
Over the last couple of years your donations have enabled us to support the health and wellbeing of our staff through the distribution of vacuum flasks and seasonal hampers; to contribute towards warmer winter jackets for our frontline teams, provide new boots and trousers to our Community First Responders and to fund advanced training courses for our SCAS BASICs volunteer team.
Funds raised have also supported new innovations including the Enhanced Community First Responder programme which will see our CFRs trained to carry out additional diagnostic tests such as ECG and urinalysis; training to support non-injury falls that impact some of our elderly and vulnerable patients including purchasing new lifting equipment to enable patients to be safely lifted off of the floor, as well as growing bystander CPR awareness through community engagement programmes in our communities.
Recent grants have also seen us fund 25 new LUCAS 3 mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices across the SCAS region and our corporate partnership with Dacia enabled us to introduce a fleet of 40 new responder vehicles for our CFR volunteers.
However, you choose to support us we are most grateful. It is thanks to you that we are able to continue funding new projects and equipment for our teams.
Why not support us by joining our weekly lottery and you could be in with a chance of winning £25,000!
