Setting up a regular gift, leaving a gift in your will or making a donation in memory of a loved one are very special ways to support us. Your gifts help us to plan for the future, create new opportunities in working with our colleagues and can also provide lasting memories for you and your family.
South Central Ambulance Charity plays a vital role within the communities we serve as we fund our volunteer Community First Responders (CFRs) scheme which costs around £300,000 a year and is supported by over 1,000 volunteer CFRs. The NHS does not fund the ambulance service to provide this. CFRs assist the Ambulance Service by attending emergency calls in the areas where they live or work. As they are local, they can often reach a potentially life-threatening emergency in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew can get to the scene.
So as you can imagine regular and sustainable gifts are important to us.
Setting up a regular gift is really easy to do via JustGiving or speak to your bank to set up your own standing order using our bank account details.
Leaving a gift in your Will
Leaving a gift in your Will makes a lasting contribution for the future. We do not yet know what the future will look like but with your support we can make sure patients in our communities can continue to receive excellent emergency care when they need it most.
Every adult should have a Will, regardless of age, income or wealth. It is the only way of ensuring your wishes are met after your death. After you have looked after your family and friends, please consider leaving a gift in your Will to South Central Ambulance Charity. No matter how large or small, every gift makes a lasting difference to our staff, volunteers and the communities we serve.
Leaving a gift in your Will to show your appreciation to our staff and volunteers is easy to arrange. We would recommend that you use a solicitor who will make sure that your wishes are clear, understandable and legally binding.
Donations in memory of a loved one
Our emergency care and life-saving work brings us into intimate contact with families at the most distressing moments, so we realise that the loss of a loved one is a very difficult and emotional time. We would like to thank you for taking the time to consider supporting South Central Ambulance Charity in memory and honour of your special someone.
Friends, family and colleagues often choose to thank the ambulance service by donating in memory of a loved one. These very special gifts are vital to supporting our staff and volunteers to go above and beyond in their communities. There are several ways to honour your loved one’s memory whilst supporting South Central Ambulance Charity:
Collect In Memory
If you would like to collect donations at a funeral, wake or memorial, we can provide you with gift aid envelopes, collection tins and leaflets about the work the charity delivers. Your funeral director will be able to guide you through the requirements to assist in a smooth donation process.
Create A Tribute Page
Setting up a page can be a meaningful way to remember your loved one whilst fundraising in their memory. Setting up an in-memory page is quick and easy and can be done through www.muchloved.com
Donate In Memory
You can remember someone special and honour their life with a one-off donation to South Central Ambulance Charity. Your donation will make a big difference to our ultimate purpose of enabling SCAS to go above and beyond what the NHS funds it to do.
