As we approach the end of another year our thoughts turn to shopping! If you are looking for a new idea for that ‘person who has everything’ why not choose one of our virtual gifts?
We are offering three options for you to help support three different but equally important projects that will support our staff and volunteers in providing the best possible care for our patients.
As the gifter you will be sent information about the gift you have purchased along with a gift card and envelope for you to pass on to the person who will receive your gift. The card will explain how the gift has helped support our projects.
Please note the final Royal Mail posting date to reach you before Christmas is Tuesday 21 December so please make sure you get your order to us by Friday 17 December to guarantee receiving it before Christmas.
There are many ways in which you can make a contribution if you would like to support our work.
South Central Ambulance Charity is thrilled to be taking part in this year’s #SmallBusinessStar campaign, a festive fundraising opportunity for small businesses to work for good and raise money for charities they love.
Whether you are a crafter, baker, accountant, hairdresser, beautician, gardener whatever your business is we believe you can help your local ambulance charity in a big way by giving small this Christmas.
Here are some examples small business could give:
- A florist: Donate a % of the sale of each Christmas wreath.
- A beautician: During November and December, fundraise by donating £2 from every manicure.
- Restaurant/Pub: For every Christmas lunch/ dinner booking, donate 2%.
- Bakery: A % or specific amount per Christmas cake or a specific bake.
- A Deli: Donate £3 from every Christmas hamper sold.
- A website designer: Donate 10% of November invoices to charity.
- Estate Agents: Donate £100 per house sold.
- A dog walker: Give 2% of December dog walks.

By fundraising this Christmas and becoming a Small Business Star, you can make an even bigger impact! Simply pay your fundraising via your Work for Good account, from 9am on Monday 6th December, and you will have your donations doubled* up to £250 per business, until the match funding pot runs out. *T’s and C’s apply

In the office we also need help in counting funds from collecting boxes that are brought back in, help with filing or other admin tasks like scanning in documents. If you have specific office based skills that you think would help us then please let us know.
The Small Business Star campaign was created by fundraising platform Work for Good in 2020 to help charities that faced financial challenges due to the pandemic whilst shining a light on the incredible small business community. This year #SmallBusinessStar offers nonprofits the chance to engage the UK’s growing community of philanthropic businesses and encourage them to continue fundraising for a cause they care about. Businesses are asked to raise money through the sales of their products or services whilst raising awareness of the cause they have chosen to support.
