Helping experienced SCAS paramedics and nurses bring enhanced treatment to the most critically ill and injured patients.
Extraordinary care, given in their own time
The Enhanced Care Volunteer scheme brings together experienced paramedics and nurses who work for South Central Ambulance Service and choose to volunteer outside their normal role and working day.
When dispatched to serious incidents, they can provide enhanced patient care including advanced pain relief, specialist monitoring and other advanced interventions—support that goes above and beyond statutory NHS provision.
